BEKUNIS LAXATIVE HERBAL TEA

Adults and Adolescents 11 and over: Take a single dose of 2 g (a heaping teaspoon) at bedtime, a few hours before or after taking other medications or health products, two to three times per week. Pour 150 mL of boiling water over dried tea and infuse for 10-20 minutes. Allow at least 6 to 12 hours for laxative effect to occur. If results are not observed, the frequency of use may be increased up to once daily. Close the box immediately after use.

This product may not be right for you. Always read and follow the label. Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasm and/or diarrhoea. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, if you have kidney disorder, if you are taking cardiac medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications, if you are taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root, or other medications or health products that may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if you have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Hypersensitivity is known to occur, in which case, discontinue use.
